The position is based in Kaunas and will be reporting to SSC Quality Manager, closely working together with HQ and other NKT entities. You will be expected to support, organize and control accountant’s team work, as well as their professional development with the support of direct manager and be a valuable part of NKT SSC operational and quality excellence projects. The main goal for this position is to supervise and oversee the daily accounts payable operations of the group in assigned accounting area. The role requires work to be conducted in compliance with Global Company guidelines, code of conduct, policies, procedures, audit controls and legal requirements. You will ensure daily, weekly, monthly operational data and measurements are captured and reported accurately and are fit for purpose. You can also expect to receive inquiries and deliver accurate reports for internal customers and outsourcing partners or authorities. Together with your colleagues, you will have an important role in reinforcing the NKT employee experience through a diverse scope of activities such as: 

  • Developing a group of AP accounting area team members by ensuring that day-to-day accounting operations are performed in time and according accounting requirements for main business companies of NKT Group.
  • Maintaining accounting controls by establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, principles and procedures.
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial and management reports.
  • Meeting customer service expectations measured through combination of consistent achievement of hard SLA and quality targets (achieve all Key Performance and best practice targets), and soft customer satisfaction indicators.
  • Managing team resources against skills, workload and availability with support and guidance of direct manager.
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities, implementing and supporting improvement programs when necessary.
  • Promoting the customer-centric culture and service delivery.
  • Being role model for service orientation and service culture and creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture, motivating team members.
  • Ensuring that service related business knowledge (including but not limited to knowledge base, FAQ, SOPs, job aids) is timely and accurately documented, regularly reviewed and updated and kept available for use in a consistent way.
  • Participating in upcoming SAP digital transformation projects.
  • Overseeing all other position related tasks delegated by line manager. 

Collaborative approach with team focus

To take on this position, you should bring international mind-set and strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills along with good understanding of internal controls & risk management. Experience in Shared Services organization or a major company would be a benefit. To fully thrive in this role you have proven communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers, and proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations. We will be expecting that you have a degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics or related field. Your Experience Profile should also include:

  • Minimum + 2 years of experience in assigned area of which 1+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive setting to meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficient computing skills with all common office programs.
  • Accounting with invoice management, travel expense systems (Concur is beneficial), reporting and consolidation systems.
  • Full professional proficiency of written and oral English.

Salary range for this position is 2800 – 3700 Eur brutto.
