Offshore Installation Engineering Team 

As part of our offshore engineering department you will be surrounded by colleagues from various offshore engineering disciplines in a dynamic and multi-cultural work environment.

NKT’s offshore installation engineering department is highly versatile and regardless of your current competencies you will be given the opportunity to broaden your offshore engineering skills and experiences. You will be working with and supported by an experienced team of professionals in the field to grow your professional career. 

Your primary tasks will be:

•  Review and analyze geotechnical survey and laboratory results data, QC/QA and validation of survey data from Clients and third parties according to tender / project requirements and NKT standards.
• Integrate a geotechnical and interpreted geophysical to build a ground model.
• Utilize python programming to analyse and visualize data.
• Review and Implementation of Cable Burial Risk Assessments (CBRA) and Seabed Mobility studies.
• Preparation and submission of Burial Assessment Studies (BAS) combining geotechnical, geophysical and trenching tool data for cable burial and protection purposes.
• Review of trenching proposals by subcontractors and determine the most effective subsea cable trenching tool.
• Give input for the Route Engineering as to select the optimum cable routing considering the geotechnical and geophysical characteristics of the seabed and sub-seabed
• Slope stability calculations mostly for crossings or for steep slopes (or review third party’s calculations)
• Ensure that the work will be performed according to the highest standards of Quality, Health & Safety and Environment during the project.
• Provide technical support to both internal and external clients and communicate effectively and efficiently to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders

Additionally, your CV comprises:

• You hold a MSc degree in one of these relevant studies: Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or similar
• Python programming skills, willingness to learn new software and develop further programming skills.
• Familiarity or willingness to learn GIS technology as ArcGIS Pro.
• Be a team player with a solution-orientated mindset and competent analytical skills.
• Highly proficient in English, both written and spoken.
