Engineer I - Installation Analysis 

Analyse and optimize offshore cable installations

As an Installation Analysis Engineer at NKT Operations India Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation of dynamic cables. Design and analyse dynamic cable systems

In this role, you will be responsible for performing system design and in-place analysis of dynamic cables, including extreme, interference, and fatigue analysis. You will also conduct local cross-sectional analysis and support offshore cable installation projects with stability and free-span analysis. Your role will be to:

  • Analyse offshore cable installation projects, including cable laying, pull-in analysis, joint overboarding, spooling operations, crane operations, and fatigue analysis.
  • Develop Python software tools to interface with OrcaFlex and improve analysis methodology.
  • Train junior engineers and collaborate with various departments and external customers.
  • Document and verify planned operations to ensure safety and provide guidance on weather limitations, loads, and risks.
  • Travel to the site in Karlskrona during the introduction phase.

Experienced offshore engineering professional

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual with excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. You also have:

  • A Master's degree in Ocean Engineering or a similar field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in offshore engineering, in installation or in-place analysis of flexible products.
  • Proficiency in OrcaFlex and Python.
  • Experience with offshore standards from DNVGL.
  • Working knowledge of cross-section analysis tools such as Helica or Uflex.
