This is a temporary position for six months.

Commercial legal advisory role in a global environment

Are you looking for an opportunity to work closely with the business in a company contributing to the global green transition? As Legal Counsel, you will support international stakeholders with commercial legal advisory services across multiple jurisdictions, focusing on contracts and business-oriented solutions. This temporary role offers insight into a global organisation with a central role in sustainable energy infrastructure.

Provide business-oriented legal guidance across global markets

In this role, you will support sales and procurement teams by advising on a broad range of commercial agreements and legal matters. You will manage your own contract drafting and negotiation while collaborating closely with colleagues in an international environment. This brings the opportunity to work near the business, gaining exposure to various types of contracts and legal challenges across NKT’s global operations.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts across multiple jurisdictions
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contractual risk and liability matters
  • Handle disputes and engage with external lawyers when relevant
  • Support corporate tasks and contribute to training of colleagues
  • Manage legal aspects of tender processes, procurement activities and real estate matters

You will report to the Senior Manager, Legal Distribution, Accessories and Functions and collaborate closely with colleagues across Europe. The position is based at NKT’s headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.

A collaborative legal professional with a commercial mindset

You are a person who enjoys working in a varied, multicultural setting and who communicates clearly with stakeholders across the organisation. You thrive in an environment where you contribute to practical legal solutions and take responsibility for your own tasks. You balance the ability to manage your own tasks with a collaborative approach and bring curiosity for understanding business needs.

You also have:

  • Master of Law degree
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience from a law firm or an international company
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken. Proficiency in a Scandinavian language is also beneficial
  • Experience within litigation, M&A or transactional work is beneficial
