We are expanding our Marine Engineering team and are welcoming a Project Surveyor to join the team. Oversee the planning and implementation of hydrographic and geophysical surveys
As a Project Surveyor at NKT, you will be responsible for the preparation, acquisition, and management of hydrographic and geophysical survey operations within both NKT projects and proposals.
Your role will be to:
• Provide technical support to translate Client survey specifications into an appropriate survey philosophy which aligns with NKT standards and interests and results in effective project completion
• Provide technical support into preparation of RPP / RFQ regarding survey works; review and evaluate survey proposals
• Advise on number of required survey campaigns, installation corridors, equipment choice and their accuracy, vessel size and vessel duration of the various project survey campaigns
• Provide survey management i.e. coordinate working out further details with the survey contractor related to schedule, workflow and data flow, deliverables
You will be occasionally doing offshore operations as required by project needs.
Innovative and collaborative survey engineer
We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and collaborative engineer who can take ownership of their work and deliver high-quality results according to agreed deadlines. You should thrive in international and stable environments, applying your practical knowledge, social skills, and integrity to diverse projects.
You also have:
• A degree in Hydrographic Survey, Survey Engineering, or similar
• +3 years of experience in a similar position
• Offshore survey experience including experience from multibeam surveys, side scan sonar surveys, magnetometer, UXO surveys and sub-bottom profilers
• Understanding of calibration requirements and procedures of the different survey systems and sensors
• Knowledge with GIS and survey software such as ArcGIS Pro, Eiva Navimodel, AutoCAD, QGIS
• Fluency in English
