New leadership for the Oil & Gas Cable Competence Centre

Still today, oil and gas cables are part of almost any major city's power cable infrastructure. With our Oil & Gas Cable Competence Centre (OGCCC), we are putting emphasis on these decade-old oil and gas cables and use our almost 100 years of know-how of working with these cable systems. This allows us to provide our customers with an excellent service and unique solutions when it comes to the question of how to keep these cable systems operational without causing environmental damages. Our team of engineers, jointers, sales, and other functions is working with joined forces to always find the best solution for the customer. To bring the diverse know-how from our experts on oil and gas cables together and benefit from synergies, we founded the OGCCC some years ago which has already proofen to be a value-add to our service portfolio.

 

Our experts for oil and gas cables are based at our sites in Berlin, Brøndby, and Troisdorf. The site in Troisdorf was opened in mid-2020 and serves as the hub for our jointers and equipment for the oil and gas cable projects in Germany and close countries while it also offers a spacious training centre. In April 2021, the whole supply, production and engineering of oil and gas cable accessories has been transferred to Troisdorf to allow a smooth operation, fast reaction time and provide an excellent customer service.

As of mid May 2021, Christian Kretzschmar has taken over the leadership for the OGCCC from René Dogan who was leading the competence centre before but who is now fully taking care of our Danish customers. With his long-term experience as Senior Sales Manager for LPOF accessories at NKT, Christian is an expert on oil and gas cables. He has already helped customers around the globe to find unique solutions for their oil and gas cable systems so that they can be kept in operation for many more years.
